Hi, I’m Hassan Ghanati and I’m so excited to be sharing one of my life passions with you, Zima.

I founded Zima in 2012 and have dedicated the last decade to perfecting my craft and experimenting with materials such as wood, metal, resin and ceramics.

Most of my pieces, however, are created from wood.

I have always felt deeply connected to nature and as such, it is my greatest inspiration.

I strongly believe that the pursuit of art and beauty is not an excuse to cause harm.

As such, I want you to know that the wood for all my pieces is sourced and milled from distressed or fallen trees, right here in Toronto, Canada.
